Greytown hospital is a district hospital with 207 beds in the Umzinyathi health district.

Greytown hospital serves the population of Umvoti Municipality.  According to the Municipal Demarcation Board, based on the 2001 census data, estimates the population of Umvoti municipality at 92 294.

The hospital serves mainly a rural and semi urban population.  The hospital provides a 24 hour inpatient/outpatient trauma and emergency service, a 24 hour laboratory, x-ray and blood bank facility.  The hospital has a Heliport/Helipad.
